I decided to create Thriving Winter after figuring out how to solve my own issue with the onset of the winter months .  After working close to the equator for a number of years and returning to Ireland, I began to find winter a particulary challenging time of year. I felt emotionally drained, overwhelmed and unfocused throughout the season.
